Who should attend this professional development event?

All CYFAR grantee staff are required to attend. This includes staff serving as principal investigators (PI), project directors, evaluators, and CYFAR community site coordinators.

What will I learn at this professional development event?

This professional development event provides attendees with learning opportunities and tools to enhance skill sets to serve program participants better. Whether from the role of a PI or community site coordinator, attendees will learn about a wide variety of professional development topics aimed at helping CYFAR programs examine their programs, refine their efforts, and celebrate their success.

Who should attend the New Grantee Orientation?

All newly funded CYFAR grantees, first funded in 2024, must attend the New Grantee Orientation. Specifically, the PI, project directors, evaluators, and community site coordinators should attend.

When can I register?

Early bird registration ($450) is open until May 19, 2024.
Late registration ($500) runs May 20 through June 3, 2024.
Registration closes on June 3 at 11:59 p.m.

What if I cannot attend this event and send a coworker in my place?

If a paid registrant cannot attend the event for any reason, they may have another person from the same institution attend as a substitute in their place. Please send an email and include the original registrant’s name and the name/email of the person attending in substitution to: cyfarpdta@umn.edu.

What if I have to cancel my event registration?

Cancellation requests must be sent by email to cyfarpdta@umn.edu. Please note ALL cancellations will incur a $75.00 processing fee.

  • Refund requests received on or before May 20, 2024: A full refund (minus the $75 processing fee).
  • Refund requests received between May 21– May 31, 2024: A 50% refund (minus the $75 processing fee).
  • No refunds or credits after June 1, 2024. 

How do I make reservations at the hotel?

Go here to reserve your room. The room block closes on June 3, 2024.

When should I arrive and depart from the event?

The first session is at 8:00 am on Tuesday, June 11, and the last session ends at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, June 12. 

It is recommended to arrive on Monday and depart after the Wednesday programming. 

Can I register on-site?

On-site registration is Monday, June 10, 2024, from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. Day of registration will open at 7:00 am June 11 and 12.
