Program Management and Leadership

In the previous modules, you explored how to design an evaluation, collect data, analyze data, and report findings. Evaluation reports are often used to inform program or organizational improvement processes. Organization or program improvement strategies can have a greater impact if they build on a foundation of strong leadership and management.

This module covers the basics of program management and effective leadership, including opportunities to reflect on your current management and leadership styles and how they may be strengthened.

The content for this module is based on resources listed at the end of the module. Management details were drawn from a Drucker Foundation text, Organizations of the Future (1997). Leadership theories were drawn from Leadership Theory and Practice (2004) by Peter G. Northouse.
