Core Competency Self-Assessment

The CYFAR Core Competency Self-Assessment Tool is a professional development planning tool for CYFAR front-line employees working with vulnerable audiences. It is a tool for guiding and informing professional development needs.

Tip: You are not required to have a CYFAR account, or login, to use this self-assessment, but the website will save your responses if you are logged in. This will make it much easier to review your feedback. We treat your privacy very seriously, your responses are not shared with anyone.

We recommend that you as a front-line employee complete it on an annual basis and discuss the results with your supervisor to guide your professional development.

Once you complete the CYFAR Core Competency Self-Assessment Tool online, an automated report will be generated. This report then can be used by you and your supervisor to determine how best to address the identified professional development needs through:

  • CYFAR core competencies training resources
  • State and local Cooperative Extension trainings
  • Additional professional development opportunities.
